2008: a challenging start for V-IT
In 2008, Liesbet Sterkendries founded V-IT as an IT staffing company within De Cronos Groep. Her entrepreneurial spirit was encouraged by Cronos founder Jef De Wit. “There were not many female entrepreneurs at the time. V-IT was a unique opportunity to put female entrepreneurship on the map. I am very grateful to Jef for his support and encouragement,” says Liesbet. Six months after V-IT launched, the global financial crisis struck. Yet that crisis—and the many others we have weathered since—did not stop us.
Strong growth and an extensive network
Since its launch, V-IT has grown by 5 to 10 per cent each year, with average annual revenue of €16 million. In 2022, revenue reached €21 million. Our internal team also grew to include several sales professionals, who together keep a network of more than 200 contractors working. This extensive network of IT consultants allows us to offer continuity to clients. We often work with consultants for many years and understand both their technical and interpersonal skills, helping us identify the perfect match for each project.
A positive journey towards the right solution
Alongside our people-focused approach, we are strongly solution-oriented. Many businesses feel the pressure of digitalisation and the accompanying competition for talent. Our flexible Smart Sourcing solution aims to ease that pressure. Together with the client, we assess current needs, feasibility and internal sourcing strategy. We then identify the best-fit HR service: recruitment and selection, contract management, managed staffing, Try & Hire or payroll solutions. A proactive, positive journey towards the right solution—that is what we stand for.
Fabrice Alexis takes over
Positivity, a passion for people and a problem-solving mindset are values Fabrice Alexis also holds dear. With more than 10 years of staffing experience, Fabrice will take over from Liesbet Sterkendries this year. “It is a privilege to take the helm from Liesbet Sterkendries. We have worked very closely together in recent years, and I look forward to building on the success of V-IT,” says Fabrice.
From this year, Liesbet will focus entirely on Bonanza Group, the HR services group she founded three years ago. Bonanza includes eight staffing companies, including V-IT, each with its own market specialisation. The group offers staffing solutions not only in IT but also in sales, marketing, legal, medtech and healthcare. We wish Liesbet every success!
Our vision for the future
V-IT still has enormous growth potential, although steady growth is difficult to predict in the turbulent economic landscape of 2023. Alongside growth, we therefore want to focus even more on our strengths: quality, continuity and a personal approach.
